Our Location
We are located on the West edge of Gunnison on an original stretch of Route 50. We are on an island with our access flanked by two 1930’s highway bridges. The property is located on three and one-half acres, surrounded by a neighborhood of homes. At about a mile from town, we are close enough to local business to make it convenient but far enough away to make it quiet.
How to get here
By Car
We are located on the West edge of Gunnison, where Highway 50 crosses over the top of the Gunnison River. To the North of the current highway, you will see a frontage road and twin steel overhead highway bridges. There is one turn between the two bridges where our large blue 1950’s “Motel” sign sits. You will cross the frontage road and will drop straight into our parking lot.
From Airport
We are conveniently located by the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional airport. To get to Island Acres, when leaving the airport take a left on Rio Grande Avenue. Then, drive approximately three blocks to Highway 50 and take a left on the highway. You will stay on the highway for less than a mile and finally take a left turn between the bridges. You will find the entrance to Island Acres just as you cross the frontage road.
